More great news. Four of our junior boys have been nominated by Durham University to take part in the Varsity boat races on the Tyne on Saturday. Newcastle University vs Durham University takes place at the Quayside in Newcastle from 12 so if you’re free, come and support the boys. There may also be one or two of our girls in the female equivalent. The Durham Schools vs Newcastle Schools Boat race is a warm-up for the main event in which again, there will be at least three of our CLS members contesting the actual DUBC VS NUBC race, Lauren Irwin, Dan Middleton and Christina Castledine will all be taking part.
Positive news from the aforementioned DUBC, OBUBC and NUBC CLS athletes from the Head of the River series in London. Lauren Irwin and Chrissy Castledine both racing in the NUCB and DUBC 8’s and finishing in the top 10 and 20 along with James Snowball and Dan Middleton finishing fifth and in the top 20 for Oxford Brookes and DUBC respectively. Please let me know if there have been any more red and blue racing at the Head…

The CLS Regatta T-shirts with crest and logo on are up for sale as of now and in fetching yellow. Please see Bob Young as there are a limited amount and at £8.50 are going to sell quick.
