Dear all,
Congratulations to the 12 event winners on Saturday at Talkin Tarn Regatta. I heard that it was a late one, but extremely successful. It seems that the club, from juniors to masters has never been stronger; I was pleasantly surprised by the honours board yesterday that suddenly has become very full (six national medals this year already, the best in the clubs history).
Please make a note of the following events and your support will also be appreciated as usual:
- 24 Hour World Record Attempt, Friday 21 August- please collect a sponsor form (or print one of the attached ones off and fill it in). We are attempting to set a Guinness World Record for the most people on the water in a 24 hour period. This is in an effort to raise money for a new double.
- CLS Allcomers Regatta, Sunday 26 July- Following the success of our last mini-regatta in May, the club is running another in an effort to give our new crop of rowers (young and younger) a chance to get some race experience. Please let myself or Colin know if you are interested, it will run on the morning.
Also, a plea from Simon and Lee, if you haven’t already, please adjust your standing order and pay your fees for Talkin Tarn regatta asap.
