Windermere 2017
Since 2008 Chester-le-Street Amateur Rowing Club has packed up it’s boats and blades and ventured out to the lakes. Staying in Ambleside YHA with it’s unrivalled views of lake Windermere. We have access to the whole of the lake where you can quite easily row for two hours straight with out hitting land.
The camp is full board and offers coaching/safety support from launches provided by Chester-le-Street Sea Cadets. On evenings after a well deserved three course meal, using the YHA class room we are able to give specific technical feed back to our athletes via our camcorder recorded during the days sessions, as well as spending endless hours playing rounder’s, or a trip to the cinema.
