Thinking of trying something new? Want to get fitter while enjoying an amazing setting? Then why not learn to row with Chester-le-Street Amateur Rowing Club.

Whatever your age, ability or fitness level, CLSARC will get you out on the water in no time!

The course will be delivered by a qualified volunteer coach from the club. Whether you are just wanting to enjoy the river Wear flowing next to the Riverside Stadium, or meet new friends, get fitter or even if you’d like to eventually race in some of the regions local regattas or Explorer League events. Learning to row at Chester-le-Street will enable you to do all these things, in a fun family friendly club.

The course will include sessions on how to scull using correct British Rowing technique in coxed quads and smaller boats with assisted flotation and will take place at Chester-le-Street Amateur Rowing Club located by the Riverside Stadium.

All you need to bring is clothing you’ll be able to move freely in (no jeans or baggy clothing), a bottle of water and yourselves!
